Moti Mahal II in Kansas City, Missouri, is a well-loved Indian restaurant located in the Westport area, perhaps better remembered as “Korma Sutra” before ownership changes. To this day, globally, this restaurant is the standard to which I compare all other Indian cuisine.

Food: The menu offers a wide variety of Indian dishes, including appetizers like Paneer Pakora, Papadam, and Alu Tikki, as well as main courses such as Lamb Curry, Vindaloo, and Korma. The butter chicken and samosas are particularly popular. However, some reviews mention that the food can be cold upon delivery or not ready for delivery.

Service: The service is generally described as attentive and friendly, with some guests praising the staff’s helpfulness and flexibility. However, there are occasional complaints about long wait times and poor packaging for delivery.

Ambiance: The restaurant has a clean and pleasant atmosphere, making it a nice spot for dining in or takeout. Some guests have noted that the parking situation could be improved.
