“More Than Just A Cooler”
We purchased the ICECO VL60 primarily to allow us to boondock deeper and farther from “civilization”. Fetching groceries and other essentials that are refrigerated or frozen, with a drive time of an hour or more to return to camp, requires more than just some ice in a cooler. The VL60 fits beneath the tonneau cover in the bed of the truck, and can be operated with the onboard inverter outlet in the truck bed. It can also ride in the back seat, with Cleopatra riding shotgun, operating from the 12 volt receptacle in the rear cabin.
MORE THAN JUST SHOPPING! When we leave base camp knowing we’ve got a four or six hour excursion ahead of us, we pack a picnic lunch, throw in bottled water and other beverages, and avoid the “hangry” that tends to creep in when you’re in the middle of nowhere and trying to go further.
BACKUP PEACE OF MIND: Should the onboard Furrion fridge/freezer in the Doghouse suffer a failure, we have a place to move our perishables quickly.
- Independent Control – Dual zone and independent controlling allow you to use freezing and refrigeration in any combination (freezer & refrigerator, both freezer, or both refrigerators). Moreover, you can choose to turn off one zone for the purpose of energy saving.
- SECOP Compressor – (NOT Dometic!) Cooling range from 0°F to 50°F(-18℃~10℃) to meet all your freezing or refrigeration need. Fridge cooling rate can be selected between MAX mode for fast cooling or ECO mode for more energy efficiency. SECOP Compressor makes the car refrigerator keep running well even under 40° tilt.
- Car and Home Use – Each portable refrigerator is equipped with a DC cord and an AC cable. Independent 12V/24V DC and 110-240V AC output port avoid chaotic wire accumulation and make the use environment cleaner and safer.
- User-friendly Design – Height design fit for tonneau cover of pickup truck. Metal shell, thickened inner wall and foldable pull-down lock provide good insulation conditions. Convenient interior lights for easy access in the dark. Two Removable wired baskets to allow quick emptying and restocking of the fridge.
