We recently added an All-Top ATACR300 air compressor to our “be prepared” kit. As we enjoy off-roading and frequently find ourselves in remote locations, having a reliable air compressor is essential. The ATACR300 has exceeded our expectations in several ways.
First off, the build quality is impressive. This compressor is made from sturdy metal, which gives it a robust feel. It’s definitely not one of those flimsy plastic models you see sometimes. The included 26-foot hose is long enough to reach all four tires of my vehicle, and the carrying bag makes it easy to transport and store.
Performance is good – I can top off our 20-inch tires in short order – and the inline pressure gauge is quite handy. Among the several attachments included for airing up bicycle tires, inflatable toys and such is a thumb lock adapter that makes tires even easier!
The unit operates at around 74 dB so it’s not exactly quiet. It’s also power hungry with a draw of 90 amps! You won’t be powering this from your USB gadget. You’ll need to use the undersized alligator clips to connect to your vehicle battery.
